Technologies we’d like to see on the field…
It’s easier to watch sports than ever before, what with http://www.clearwireinternet.com 4G connections becoming prolific and smartphones streaming live games. With viewing technology so advanced, why can’t the tech on the field be just as cutting edge? Here are a few technologies we wish they’d implement
No More Chains: It seems easy enough, why not come up with a laser system that precisely measures where the ball last touches on a football field to determine 1st downs? This would eliminate the need for inaccurate chains and save valuable game time.
Strike Callers: Along the same vein, baseball is notorious for being a subjective caller’s game. Why not line the batter’s box with sensors that can ACTUALLY determine if the ball’s a foul, a ball or a strike? No more refs determining the outcome of a game.
Headsets: They already do this in NASCAR, but wouldn’t it be interesting to hear what’s going on in the coach’s headset? Fans could rent sets for a game – more money for the teams and the stadiums and a more interactive experience for everyone!
